"Switched our reservation the morning of our arriva"

We reserved a king room two weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were told that we’d been switched to a queen room the morning of our stay because the king rooms were oversold. The staff was friendly and the location was convenient. The beds were hard as rocks.

Room was clean and comfortable.

Ice machine not working. Button for 3rd floor on elevator broken, unable to utilize. Children stomping and yelling down hallway for 3+ hours Saturday afternoon. (that;s not the hotel issue just bad parenting). The kitchen worker on Sunday 06/09/2024 with extremely long hair not wearing a hairnet or any type of restraint/accessory. The oatmeal contained his hair....after seeing that in my bowl, breakfast was over. Maybe the 'free' breakfast was not so important with this stay.

The front desk check-in clerk was rude. The swimming pool was not open and it is June. Apparently the pool area needed repairs and/or painting, which I thought should have been done before June. When reservations were made/confirmed, there was no mentionof pool being closed. We had 3 very disappointed kids.
