Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Laramie

This is the cleanest hotel I have stayed at in several years. Staff was so friendly and helpful and upbeat! Would definitely recommend!

Upon check in we were informed our room had been downgraded from a king with sofa suite to a single king room - we had three adults, that doesn’t work! They put us in a room with two doubles and the doubles are a single size, to be honest. Mattresses are too soft, especially for two adults who keep rolling into the center of the bed. On our first stay here we had a room with a freezer in the fridge, and counted on that for medications, but this time we did not. Our room the first time a couple weeks ago was only $149 and last night our downgraded room was $281. So incredibly disappointed. I loathe bottles attached to shower walls. They do not work for bathing children or special needs guests the tub.

Mattress very uncomfortable; linens scratchy; mold in tub; very noisy..the walls are so thin that every noise from the hallway and next room above and beside can be heard; how this place had a 9.0 rating is a mystery. Everything is old and run down.

Laramie is a strangely expensive town for hotel rooms. Settled on the Fairfield as the most reasonable amongst expensive options. Oddly, the receptionist insisted on seeing my AAA card to get the AAA rate which was about $250 total. Since that‘s all paperless now, I had to pull AAA up on my phone to prove my membership. That was really obnoxious when I‘m just off the road and trying to get a room which wasn‘t ready anyway. And, in all my years of travel, that‘s the first time anybody has insisted on seeing proof of AAA membership. Very odd. Theron’s are small and clean, but bathrooms are showing age and dirty tiles. The pool was closed when we got there, but went to the spa later which was cold. That was disappointing. The highlight was a clean and neat breakfast area with a very cheery attendant who made up for the otherwise strange reception.

Sterling is a great front desk associate. He was super helpful when we wanted to change our reservation and even gave us an upgrade when the room we wanted wasn't available. A little courtesy goes a long way, which is something other Marriotts I've stayed at could work on. Thanks Sterling!

The Fairfield Inn in Laramie was a great hotel! The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfy, and spacious. The pool area was nice, too. It had both a pool and hot tub. We also enjoyed the breakfast (waffles, oatmeal, toast, bagels, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit) and coffee/tea/cocoa area (available all day).

It was just an overnight stay! But I’d definitely go back
