Hyatt Place Lake Mary/Orlando North

Location was great! Very close to the mall, places to eat, and the Amtrak station. The hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. The pool was great, but the hot tub was a little green. The free breakfast was amazing! Lots of yummy choices - scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, bagels, oatmeal, bread, juices, coffee, milk, and much more! The room itself was a little bland. The desk and the kitchenette were nice to have, but there could have been more art work and the bathroom door looked like the door to the maintenance room in my office building. Too institutional for my liking. Overall, very nice! I would stay again.

Breakfast is a hit or miss. Some items are good, like the cereal and bagels. However, main entrees that are cooked,(Bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, gravy, biscuits, etc) by staff aren’t good. They’re unseasoned and you can clearly tell most of it is frozen. Would recommend going out for breakfast rather than eating it at the hotel. Staff was friendly, however, not attentive. Front desk receptionists do as much as they can, but, if you’re trying to get things delivered to your room such as sheets, pillows, towels, or blankets, you might as well get the yourself from the front desk. They WILL be forgotten about or no one will bring them. Prices for the food/drinks provided at the hotel are a little too pricey considering you’re already paying about $150-$200 a night. Would recommend buying snacks beforehand or going to a dollar tree. Otherwise, the stay was fine.

Safe and clean

Too noisy with the disrespectful Basketball team on Saturday. Shame on the chaperone/parents for not teaching these teens to use quiet voice in hallways and lobby. While other guest were trying to sleep. So disappointed!

Great location

Hyatt Place Lake Mary/Orlando North Stars: ★★★★☆ (The extra star is for the naps) Clean Sheets, Friendly Faces, and a Surprise Contact High I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place Lake Mary, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag—though mostly involving a "bag" I didn't pack. First, the positives: The hotel is impeccably clean, and the staff members are absolute gems—professional, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The food was... fine. It won't be winning any Michelin stars anytime soon, but it gets the job done if you're in a pinch. However, my stay took a turn into a Cheech & Chong movie. My neighbor was apparently operating a small-scale dispensary out of their room. Despite the hotel being smoke-free, my room was constantly filled with a very potent "herbal" aroma. I alerted the front desk, and while they were quick to investigate, the neighbor apparently took their visit as a challenge. An hour later, the smoke was twice as thick as before. The Silver Lining: On the bright side, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. When you combine Hyatt’s plush mattress with the unintended "aromatherapy" coming through the vents, I have to admit: I had the best sleep I’ve had in years. I went to bed smelling like a 1970s rock concert and woke up feeling more refreshed than I have in a decade. Bottom line: Great staff and a clean property. If you’re looking for a solid night’s sleep and don't mind a contact high you didn't pay for, this is the spot. If you prefer your oxygen unseasoned, maybe request a room far, far away from the "party wing" if at all possible. lol. Enjoy!

This location is not what it used to be. The property is unkept and trash was not only in the parking lot especially in the back parking lot by the Walgreens, but also inside. There was a bag presumably from a takeout meal of one of the guests that sat on top of the trash can for 2 days. My sofa bed sheets were not clean.. The receptionist at the front desk told me that since they were sold out there was no guarantee that my request of linen, pillows and towels would be granted. The hallways were noisy through the night hours and into the early morning hours, I thought hotels had quiet hours! Would not recommend staying here if you’re in the Lake Mary/ Orlando area.
