Mercure Versailles Paris Ouest

I booked this stay through Booking.com expecting a comfortable place where my family and I could escape the current heatwave affecting Paris. Unfortunately, the room did not meet that expectation. The main issue was the air-conditioning system, which appears to be very old, underpowered, and clearly incapable of cooling the room effectively. During the night, we had to rely on a fan that was already stored in the room’s closet, which led us to believe that the hotel is aware that the air-conditioning system is not sufficiently effective. In addition, the hallway, entrance area, and bathroom all generate additional heat, while the air-conditioning system is unable to compensate for it, leaving the room uncomfortably warm and making it difficult to sleep. We specifically chose this hotel in order to stay cool and sleep comfortably during the heatwave, but the experience fell well below our expectations. Considering that we paid nearly €400 for two nights including breakfast in what is advertised as a four-star hotel, the facilities and level of comfort provided leave much to be desired and do not appear to be consistent with either the hotel’s rating or the price charged. In addition, during our stay we encountered other guests who were also complaining about the excessive temperature in their rooms and were requesting fans from reception. This suggests that the issue is not limited to our room, but rather appears to be a more widespread problem with the hotel’s air-conditioning system.

El aire acondicionado no funcionaba

On site parking. The breakfast was amazing!! One of the best we had in Europe.

The room did not resemble the on line photos at all! Very 1970’s orange decor with fur blankets in the summer heat wave. Our air conditioning was very weak. The breakfast room was freezing.

Manque de confort salle de bain petite la Clim ne fonctionne pas cela aurait besoin d’une bonne rénovation

Le personnel, très agréable.

Notre chambre était déjà occupé, mais nous en avons reçu une autre. Au petit déjeuner, la même personne nous a demandé au moins 3 fois le numéro de notre chambre, en 20 minutes, et a chaque fois en anglais. Je lui ai dit à chaque fois que nous étions français.
