Perfect vacation spot.. Excellent food .. great service

Rooms were newly renovated and clean! Still some renovations going on around but did not effect too much expect too and from the rooms.

Was nice , food was good , facilities as expected. We only thought snorkeling trip - which was great , offered little safety as one instructor for maybe 15 people , so from european perspective that was not very safe . Staff pleasant , beach clean . Nice New year party .

Small island so easy to get around. Gift shop is limited and expensive. TV and phone did not work and despite reporting this twice, they were not fixed. Staff is excellent overall, and our bungalow overlooking the ocean was great.

Unfortunately, the whole island is still under construction and the major refurbishment will not finish within three months in my eyes. I would suggest anyone who has booked this island lately negotiate with the hotel in advance. As many facilities are not available and only the guests of over water suits are not affected by the noise. If you don't want to see hundreds of construction workers around you, better take action before the trip begins. However, the staff is extremely polite and friendly. After stayed one night on the island, we were transferred to Cinnamon Velifushi and upgraded to water bungalow. Ignore the adventure in the beginning, my family had a happy vacation in general. I would like to visit Dhonveli after the completion of renovation. The whole island will look pretty decent by then.

Cinnamon Dhonveli cancelled our reservation with less than 24 hours notice due to having no rooms available due to construction. We had booked an overwater bungalow, half board. They emailed to say they moved us to a beach bungalow at another property due to construction, but upgraded our meals to full board. After further communication back and forth, we were able to stress the importance

This place is AMAZING and the staff is even more amazing as they try to accommodate every request you have. The island was under construction, but that actually made the island feel even more exclusive as there were only a few guests there sharing the island with me.

All the way through from our speedboat transfer to the island to our return transfer to Male was perfect. The level of service was the highest we had ever experienced. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The overwater suite was large and luxurious and the island itself was wonderful. We took the full board package and the food was fresh, beautiful and had a buffet to rival any international hotels with the inclusion of many local dishes and 2 chefs cooking to order steak, lamb,snapper, you name it. Overall we had a picture perfect 3 days in paradise.
