The Speakeasy Inn and Rum Bar

The Speakeasy Inn and Rum Bar is located in a quieter part of Old Town Key West, but only a short walk away from the festive night life Key West is known for. Our super cute room with a kitchenette, king bed separated from kitchenette by the wardrobe (almost like a private bedroom), a tiny sitting area and a private bath. It was everything we needed and more! Kitchenette was stocked with different coffee and tea pods for the Keurig, kitchenware, fridge, microwave and toaster. Bathroom included toiletries and towels, and hairdryer. We also found beach towels in the wardrobe which we used for our day at Zachary Taylor State Park and our trip to Dry Tortugas/Fort Jefferson National Park, as both parks have beach areas. The speakeasy/rum bar was a fun place to relax, with or without a drink, inside at the bar or outside on the front porch, after a day of sightseeing. We especially liked the front porch in the evenings after strolling through town to wind down before bed. Our room came with parking for 1 car, just around the corner from the Inn. Keyless entry was an added bonus too! And, lastly, The Captain, the house cat, greeted us every morning by our door. Staff was awesome and very attentive, grabbing us new towels and extra water whenever we needed. This charming spot did not disappoint...We will definitely be back!

Unique location. Very comfortable room, bathroom functioned well. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Expect some street/bar noise but not excessive. Roosters were the most disruptive but part of the Key West charm. Only minor complaint was no drawers/dresser in the room so couldn’t really unpack things that couldn’t be hung in the armoire.

The room was absolutely perfect. The bed was incredible - plenty of storage and space for two gals on a little vacay - a small kitchenette with a decent frig - and right above a very fun and happening rum bar. I would certainly stay here again!!!

Excellent location - south end of Duval Street is more calm (quieter) than the north end. We were on the 2nd floor and had nice chairs on which to eat breakfast. Nice, small kitchen with Keurig and plenty of coffee options.

Outdoor steps. Might request a first floor room if we go again.
