Lots of little touches that made the stay special, like a stocked fridge in the room, and homemade cake to try. The welcome was just wonderful and the host went out of his way to ensure everything was to your liking. And he put on an early breakfast as I needed get away early, and also surprised me with a lunch bag to keep me going, totally out of the blue. A great stay at a lovely hotel.

Steve is an absolute angel. I was staying here solo as my family had booked a bigger hotel that ended up being fully booked, so after doing a bit of research and reading all the amazing reviews, I decided to stay at The Garway -and it absolutely did not disappoint. The place was spotless, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful touches. The bed was really comfortable and I slept beautifully every night. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with lots of options available. Honestly, it ended up being much nicer than the hotel my family had booked! There were homemade goodies left in the room every day, which was such a lovely touch. Steve himself is just a genuinely lovely man, I really enjoyed chatting with him during my stay. It’s such a charming place, and if I ever come back to Torquay, I’ll definitely be staying here again. I’ll miss being spoilt every day!

Alles is perfect! De gastheer heeft aan alles gedacht: lekkere shampoo, crème, schone bedden, iets lekkers in de koelkast, etc. Niets is teveel en ontbijt heerlijk! Ook leuk dat we een lunchpakket meekregen met allemaal lekkere dingen voor onderweg. Een top B&B!

The host Steve was amazing and goes out of his way to make your stay a special one. Everything was exceptional and enjoyable.

Very clean, very comfortable bed, everything i could have needed was at hand, lovely premises, Steve the host is fantastic, i will definitely be returning.

This is the best b and b I have ever stayed in from the warm welcome to the amazing breakfast , the room and bed were amazing , the homemade cakes a real treat ,the complimentary tray and fridge with fresh milk and orange juice , even lovely sented towels , the place is simply wow wow wow

Breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice available. The host, Steve, adds a lot of kind and thoughtful touches to your stay. For the price, my room was well equipped, immaculate and the whole stay felt like a luxury boutique hotel. A great find

Nothing could have been better

From the point of booking the accommodation, Steve was amazing. He gave us a free upgrade without asking days before our trip and an early check in! We had high expectations from the reviews and Steve did not disappoint, he exceeded them. Warm welcome, lots of home cooked treats on arrival in our room, fridge packed full of drinks for us, bathroom full of lovely spa toiletry’s and robes. He genuinely has thought of everything. The breakfast was insane - lots of choice and home made goody’s and local ingredients used and each morning even made a doggy bowl for an our dog which was staying. Steve gave us some good ideas where to go for the day and took time to get to know us. Even packed us a pack lunch on our departing day! Genuinely sad to leave, Steve is a brilliant guy and anyone lucky enough to stay here will be well looked after.
