"Grand Waikikian"

8.0

Great location. Our 2 bedroom condo was sufficient for 6 people. Had a full kitchen. Well stocked. Only complaint is pool areas super crowded. Not enough space for all the people from surrounding Hilton hotels and resorts. Limited hot tubs. Pools cold during winter months. Not heated at all. If you don’t use pools, then it worked great.

"Low class and overpriced"

2.0

Rooms are small and overpriced. Think of Carnival cruises and that is your experience here. Nothing about this place screams resort except the price. You’re sharing this place with hundreds of guests feeling like a cruise ship. Do not use these people for your vacation.

We had a great experience overall. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was excellent — close to restaurants, shops, and just a short walk to the beach, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The pool area was well-maintained and perfect for unwinding after a long day. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire property felt safe and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Location, size of the room, have the full kitchen, washer and dryer. Will book a longer stay to take advantage of the those perks.

Issue with Room Key upon arrival. Had to 2 down twice, key did not work for parking upon check-in. Also did not like the fact to try and sell me on Time Share meeting. Dryer took forever to dry clothes.

"Outstanding stay & Outstanding Front Desk!"

10.0

Highly recommend the Grand Waikikian - special recognition to Grace Benson and Toshi at the Front Desk and Angie the Manager for superb customer focus, knowledge and caring. Thank you to the Grand Waikikian for having such top notch staff who remember returning guests and also appreciation to Jazz who greets each car and ensures everything moves smooth and to the bell desk for their wonderful service. Rooms are sparkling and so well-equipped. Housekeeping on the 16 th floor was efficient and excellent. Overall, a terrific stay. Q

"Never Again"

4.0

We had a two bedroom suite with a kitchen and a city view which was nice but WAY over priced for what you get, especially for the grounds and amenities. GROUNDS: The GROUNDS were very pretty and tropical with an open air lobby which I love and there were several pools but NONE OF THEM WERE HEATED and were freezing! I can see maybe no heat in the middle of summer when it’s blazing hot out but we were here in NOVEMBER! Sadly, all pools AND JACUZZI closed by 6:00p or earlier except for two pools open until 9pm on-the-dot so forget about a relaxing after-dinner swim. Contrary to what I was told by the front desk AND concierge, towels were not readily available at each pool and I had to ask three wandering staff members until I found one who could direct me to the towels. Check out time was a crazy early10:00am, which in itself will make me not come back here. INSIDE THE ROOM: There was a TV in both bedrooms but the Menu of what was on TV was completely wrong so you had to scroll through each station at a snails pace to find something to watch. NOT a fun evening activity when you just want to wind down. There was a soaking tub in the master bath which looked very nice but I didn’t have time to try it. Laundry unit in the suite was helpful to have but dryer took a very long time to dry. The location of the hotel is good with shopping and food stores nearby. All staff was friendly and tried to be helpful when possible but many are clueless to answer basic questions. The Hilton Club, of course, tries to get you to buy into joining but luckily for us it was a soft sell once I said NOT FOR ME several times.

"Anniversary Trip"

10.0

The Grand Waikikian in the Hilton Village was amazing. We had a two bedroom partial ocean view unit. The unit was spacious, very clean, and beautiful. The washer and dryer in the unit was very good quality) and I loved the location. Most resorts have them in the master bedroom where this one was located off the kitchen. The midweek cleaning was great. They even exchanged the towels. Another bonus was the availability of beach towel stands. You just swiped your room key and they would give you however many you wanted. When you were finished for the day you returned the towels to the stand. Loved not having to wash them in our room. The Hilton village is a great resort area and you have access to all the pools, shops, restaurants etc. The beach was also very easy to get to. Chairs and umbrellas were available to rent. They were pricey but the entire resort is pricey. Kinda expected in Hawaii. We ate at most of the restaurants on the resort and the food was really good at all of them. Off of the property we ate at Hula Grill Waikiki which was amazing and we ate at 100 Sails which is a seafood buffet. Both were expensive but the food and atmosphere were worth it. We had tickets to the Starlight Luau at the resort but it was cancelled because of rain although we had watched parts of it earlier in the week as it is on the great lawn. All in all this is a top notch resort and we will definitely be back. We opted to not have a car as the parking rate is very high($69 per night) but really did not need a car as Uber and taxies are readily available. The resort fees would be the only thing we found to be a negative. They were very high (over $500) for our week stay. Reason for the 4 star on value.

"Living like royalty in Waikīkī!"

10.0

My wife and I spent this last week at the Grand Waikikian, it has been so much fun! Every staff person on site is so helpful and polite, they definitely live the “Mahalo” tradition. The fireworks on Friday nights are amazing, the sunset cruise was a blast! We walked to downtown Waikiki where you will find so many popular shops and restaurants, we ate at the Tommy Bahama restaurant and it was great as well. Already looking forward to our next stay at the Hawaiian Village resort.
