Best Western Plus Edison Inn

I liked the attentiveness of the staff and the room was clean

I was disappointed about this being a Best Western Plus hotel. It was not the Plus standard. My room was kind of dirty and unkept with scuff marks on the walls, patchwork not done well on the walls and handles not clean. I would’ve asked for another room however it was late and the bed in bathroom appeared to be clean enough for the night. The bed was kind of hard to sleep on as well.

In spite of non smoking room, the smell of cigarettes was too strong

The running toilet and dripping sound i didnt sleep well at all. There was a stain on the chaise and something sticky on the floor near the toilet when I checked in also.

The staff was nice and breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the first room I was in had a terrible smell. Then i realized there was mold on the walls and ceiling. When I went to the desk to tell them, the staff member said the previous people had an issue with water. Then she moved me to a newer remodeled room. It was fine, but the TV had been unhooked so I had to go back down and have them come hook everything back up. Apparently some rooms are updated, but some aren't. I am not sure why they wouldn't put guests in the updated rooms first. Its obvious that it is an older property. I was only there one night for work. It was just a very frustrating experience.

The refrigerator doesn't work well, it leaks water and it's dangerous to get up at night and fall because the floor is wet.

The rooms where clean and spacious....usually they have a faint smell nut no super clean!
