Love this place, you know what you are getting. Super room, great breakfast and all from an independent hotel.

Room was nice, everything we needed for an overnight stay. Kettle with coffee & tea provided, although no biscuits 😉 Nice modern bathroom. Handy that there is the restaurant providing evening meals and breakfast, obviously at an additional charge. Enjoyed dinner and we were going to book for breakfast but were put off by a very annoying visitor, see comments in what we didn't like ! Lovely friendly staff ☺️

We had a table reserved in the restaurant area for dinner but when we were checking in there was an extremely loud man having a conversation on his mobile phone and using rather colourful language. Unfortunately, when we went for dinner he was still there, still talking extremely loudly and the table reserved for us was right next to him. I asked the member of staff if there was a table elsewhere as I was not prepared to sit next to him or even in the restaurant area as he was so loud and oblivious to other customers. Luckily, she found us a table in the bar area which was fine, he could still be heard on occasion but not as loud ! I understand this is not the fault of the Fox & Goose but I do think somebody should have had a word with him to tone down the volume & content of his conversation as a courtesy to other customers.

Really nice large room, very helpful friendly staff and great food. I'd recommend the steak.

It is near a road which makes it convenient but you might want earplugs at night.

Very convenient location just off the motorway... the room was spacious and the bed really comfortable. The check-in process and access to the room was very efficient.

Wi-Fi was terrible, and this was particularly inconvenience because 4G reception is also not great.. if you want to be cut off from the outside world, then this is the place for you. Tea and coffee making facilities were a little bit inadequate. And no sockets next to the bed.

Such a lovely property! Staff were amazing and rooms were amazing and very clean! X
