The hosts Bernie & Clive were so warm & welcoming & made me feel right at home . The breakfast was excellent & location was great , just a short walk from the town & seafront .

Excellent friendly hosts. Lovely room which was very clean and kept to a high standard daily. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice and very tasty.

We loved everything as there was nothing to dislike!!!!!!

"Brilliant place to stay in Paignton, whether you're on your own or with others."

Exceptional breakfast and everything cooked to order in the morning. The hosts were really cheery and made you feel really welcome. Friendly guests also provided some great banter. The location was great for getting there via train as I did and for travelling around the Torbay area. There is a local park next door which is great for jogging around in the mornings if you're so inclined, besides the seafront being soooooo close as well. The rooms were kept in tip top condition throughout. Great place to stay at.

Out of the owners' control, but the seagulls were pretty noisy in the mornings, although we did get to see some hatchlings across the road as a result, so not all bad.

From the moment we arrived at the Carrington, we were made to feel very welcome. Berni and Clive are a lovely, friendly couple who seem genuinely pleased to see you and to do what they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The double room we booked was spacious and comfortable, with extras provided including not just the usual hot drinks and biscuits but bottled water too, refreshed daily - something we have never known before. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful - I am not keen on tomatoes, mushrooms or eggs and instead I was provided with double helpings of some of the things I do like - unexpected and appreciated. Having stayed in a variety of similar-sized establishments around the country, we would rate the Carrington as right up with the very best. A return visit is certainly on the cards.
