The Driftwood Spars

This hotel is just a short walk from the beach and offers stunning views. It’s a very peaceful spot, ideal for relaxing or taking long walks. The staff were absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and professional at both the reception and the bar. Breakfast was good, though for a 4-star hotel, it could offer a bit more variety.

The room I was given was located outside the main hotel building—in what I would call a staff dormitory area rather than a guest area. In the photo, you can see where the hotel is and the door that led to rooms 11 and 12—mine was room 12. Besides being in a dark area, we had to walk through a space full of empty beer crates. It was a total disappointment. Regarding cleanliness, it was obvious that the mirror in the room hadn’t been cleaned, and the shower glass had visible shampoo or body wash marks. The sheets had noticeable stains, and the mattress clearly needed to be rotated, as it slanted outward. I can’t believe there wasn’t a better room available inside the main hotel to offer. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

But more description on carpark Location arrived in dark and rain and struggled to locate it as it’s on a slightly different road opposite hotel that’s our only fault and it wasn’t even really that much of a problem

A warm welcome. Room with ensuite was clean, comfortable, had 2 comfy chairs and it was a good size. Breakfast was cooked fresh (not buffet style) and also fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast, pastry (I saw GF cereal available, not sure about anything else as im not GF and didn't ask). Served in the sea facing breakfast room. Dinner was extra, food was delicious and served in the dining area. Produce was fresh and cooked to a high standard. We have been here several times before, both as as a paying guest and also just for meals. Great place for overnight stay, few nights or longer. Lovely staff throughout the hotel/bar/dining. An alloted space in the car park for your car if you are staying in the hotel.
