Wakamiya

Very traditional from your normal hotel. Close to teain station and many restaraunts near. Staff was by far the most helpful with anything you needed. Small breakfast area on Floor 2 each day

This was booked for me as a chance to get an authentic ryokan experience. If that means being a bit grim, tired shabbiness, uncomfortably grubby, being woke up through the night because of the noise not only from outside but the fridge going through some banging and clattering every now and then (I pulled the plug on it at 3am) then this is the place to go! Personally, I couldn’t get out fast enough.

While there are many Ryokan in/around Kyoto, Wakamiya is centrally located near Kyoto station and is situated in an easy to access area for both trains (Kyoto station) as well as buses passing by to many of the famous temples/shrines/attractions.

老式飯店，設備較舊但是很乾淨，櫃台很親切。距離京都車站非常近，有超市。希望設施新穎亮麗的話不適合住此。

Convenient to train station. Ryokan was like stepping into Japan of 30+ years ago. Quaint, simple, authentic, clean and reasonably priced. Plus delicious and exquisite Japanese breakfast!

Expedia said the children would stay for free. We checked in and were charged $90 PER child. More than we paid on Expedia. Room smelled like cigarette smoke.

It is just one room. You have to sleep on the floor obviously, so if you are not get used to it you will be extremely tired the next day. My impression- it is horrible and not cause of little room and bathroom but cause all of it is dirty! There is a horrible smell in the toilet and we found a huge blood spot on the blanket. We payed 80€ per night 1 person and it doesn't worth at all... If you stay here prepare for the breakfast cause it will be a real challenge for your stomach. No international food. Just raw fish and green tea. The only thing that a visitor can find interesting is a kimono that they kindly supply to your room. Really it would be great experience if this place was a hostel for 20€ per night but like this it' s not fair at all...

旅館離京都車站只有5分鐘的路程，非常方便。旅館職員亦很有禮貌，每日定點有職員會親臨房間鋪設日式布團。頂樓有公共浴室，雖然面積較小，但通常都沒人用，讓你可獨享整個浴室。

We loved our stay at the Wakamiya Ryokan! It was only a very short walk from the train station (perhaps 5 minutes) and within walking distance to many of the temples and other tourist destinations (about 15 - 20 minutes walk from the Nishiki shopping area). We hired bikes from the shop down the street and were able to explore the area very easily. The staff are very helpful and the room comfortable (small but cosy). We had a great view of the Kyoto Tower from our room. There is some traffic noise but nothing that kept us awake. There are heaps of amazing little restaurants along the street for plenty of traditional dinner options.

距離東本願寺很近，服務很親切房間也算乾淨整潔，大致上是個還不錯的住宿地方
