"Lovely place- some issues during our stay"

8.0

Sadly there was a flash flood when we stayed which impacted the toilet being able to flush, the shower not working and electricity. A couple of other fixable problems which I let management know about. Other than that it was a great place to stay and I'd be happy to go back.

"Lovely place; terrible customer service"

6.0

Lovely, comfortable, dog-friendly apartments in a beautiful and secluded rural location. We had a great time. Unfortunately the check-in experience was atrocious - it took over half an hour to get our keys as we stood around while the receptionist communicated with "the office" by text. Apparently the office were supposed to have emailed me a payment link before I arrived (even though I'd already paid them through Hotels.com but for some reason they also needed to take a deposit), but they hadn't sent it and were very unresponsive. Communication was terrible; no-one seemed to know what they were doing and we kept being asked us the same questions over and over. What's the point in even having a reception desk if the receptionist isn't authorised to actually do anything? And what's the point in having a card machine at reception if I have to pay for everything on my phone using your barely-functional web form? We were desperate for our room after spending the entire day driving and this terrible check-in experience is enough to make me not recommend this hotel. Getting the deposit back was also a nightmare that took at least five phone calls. Once again, all blame was placed on the mysterious "office", never the person I was actually talking to. I'm sad to leave a negative review because the actual apartment was really lovely so it's a shame that the customer service was so poor.

"Exceptional"

10.0

It is an excellent property. We, in fact, decided to extend our stay having been so impressed with the cottage. It was clean, comfortable, surprisingly big(the pictures do not do justice). The staff have been very courteous and helpful. The only word of caution is for one to plan their meals well in advance as the area has little to offer in terms of dining. The local co op and Spar are well stocked though (open from 6am until 10pm everyday).

"Nice Countryside Hotel"

6.0

Nice greeting. Room 8 dated but comfortable. Poor water pressure for shower and it would take an age to run a bath. Lovely surroundings. The room was situated on the 2nd floor and on inspection we found the fire escape stairs, were worn concrete and were hazardous covered in moss and slippy. My husband fell down the stairs hurting his hip we mentioned it to reception staff who didn't even ask if he was ok. In light of recent tragic events you would have thought fire escapes and route would be of the utmost importance.

"In the middle of nowhere "

Lovely hotel a bit far out from the main areas of the lakes. Not what I class as a dog friendly hotel. Dogs only allowed in the bedroom
