Tudor Cottage

The cottage is everything we hoped, unusual, quirky and peaceful. Sandra and Martin are excellent hosts making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The garden is lovely with comfortable furniture to sit back and relax in, surrounded by exceptionally peaceful countryside. Our room was perfect with a large, very comfortable bed and we had a private bathroom just down the corridor which all worked out very well. We like very old properties and things have to be fitted in where they can and that’s part of their charm and uniqueness. Porlock is a very short drive way and has shops and Pubs..recommend the parking at the far end past the “Top Ship” in the little toll road to the right. Porlock Weir is also an interesting place to visit. We walked down to the huge pebbled beach from the cottage..an easy walk, and had a cream tea in the tea room on the way back. We recommend this as a very pleasant place to sit out and have a cream tea, lunch or ice cream. Sandra and Martin are a very pleasant couple who made us feel welcome and relaxed, we hope they continue with the success of Tudor Cottage as it’s a truly unusual booking.

All good as far as we are concerned….a few more passing places in the lane would be nice but that’s nothing to do with Tudor Cottage..that’s the choice we made for remoteness. In the end it wasn’t a problem.

Lovely location, lovely owners, great breakfast and clean. Everything you need from a B&B in the countryside.

Tudor cottage is beautiful outside and inside. Very very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Very friendly helpful hosts

The Breakfast was excellent. The cottage was in a lovely setting and very homely.

A pub in the village!

The location in a National Trust village with immediate access to beautiful countryside. The house is compact and cozy and the breakfast room has lovely view of the fields. Breakfast was excellent, full English and good choice of cereals. Coffee served in a large cafeteria. Very generous. Owner friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
