The hotel was very clean

The pool was cool but the slide was warm that would be the only thing I would have to complain about with this hotel

Free parking. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Awesome pool. Great free hot breakfast.

We travelled from Cape Breton to Dartmouth for a relaxing weekend. The Hotel was exactly in the middle of all the places we wanted to visit. The room we were assigned was lovely and very comfortable. We had a jetted tub which was so relaxing after a long day. We impressed by how clean the room was. We have stayed in more expensive hotels that were not nearly as nice as this Best Western in Dartmouth. The complimentary breakfast was lovely. There were so many choices. We will absolutely stay here again.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Parking lot had lots of spaces despite it being very busy.

In particular, in the morning at 9am, the housekeeping staff was lurking in the hallways to see if people were leaving. We put out the privacy sign as we planned on leaving just before checkout. I can appreciate they are busy and have a lot to manage, but it definitely took away from the experience to have expectant eyes watching with disappointment when we went for breakfast. Secondly, the breakfast was substandard. Food was cold, dry, and again, the staff were making comments which indicated they wished we would all just hurry up so they could get on with it. ("Another 20 minutes"..."10 minutes left", "Oh God, there's another family coming in." )There are coaching opportunities here, and I hope the staff takes the coaching to heart. I, however, won't be a witness to any improvements as I will never stay here again. Generally, I enjoy Best Western hotels, as the rooms and general vibe are relaxing, but this one was a disappointment.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and would not recommend it based on my experience. The noise level was completely unacceptable throughout the stay. Both children and adults were running up and down the hallways, screaming, yelling, and even banging on doors late into the evening. It felt more like a chaotic playground than a place to rest. The lobby area was just as concerning, with groups of kids running around unsupervised, some without shirts, and behaving in a very disrespectful manner. There was little to no visible staff intervention. The pool and deck area were essentially unusable. It was extremely overcrowded, with many adults openly drinking. Beer cans, cider cans, vodka coolers, and pop cans were scattered around the deck, creating both a mess and a safety concern. There was no sense of supervision or enforcement of basic rules. I did bring these concerns to the front desk multiple times. Each time, I was told they would “look into it,” but no meaningful action was taken. When I specifically asked if they could address the guests above us who were jumping on beds and causing significant noise, I was told nothing could be done until quiet hours at 10:00 PM, which was very frustrating. Overall, the lack of management, cleanliness, and respect for other guests made this stay extremely unpleasant. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere if you’re hoping for a quiet and relaxing environment.
