Aloft by Marriott Denver Airport at Gateway Park

We rented the room online and arrived too late to change our accommodations or else I would have left. I was not impressed. When we go to the room, we were overwhelming by the odor of "carpet fresh", you know the stuff that stinks loud enough to cover pet odors. Floors were dirty, especially the bathroom. Thermostats missing from the walls, trim on the furniture missing/ broken. Then there were the families pulling up outside to drop off the kids. The kids would wonder in, take what they wanted from the "company store" and move on. The place seems to be used for long term housing with the one night stay folks seeming to be the ones out of place. So you have dogs running around and just a whole bunch of things that seem out of place. Overall, I hope I don't have to stay here in the future. I know I'll look at other options first.

My stay here was great, staff was friendly and very helpful, food was great and room was spacious and clean.

Being outside for a while because the fire alarms went off on a visit and paid parking I think ppl who have reservations should get free parking

Hotel was clean. Was hard to sleep due to just having shades on the windows and light shown in. Otherwise pretty basic room with no mini fridge. Staff was very friendly.

First the lady at the front desk was rude, seemed annoyed the minute we walked in. We got the keys, went into the room, smelled like cigarette smoke and was cold like the heat was not working. Went to the front desk and the lady seemed annoyed, decided to leave because it was nothing like the website says!!!

They oversold the type of room I reserved, so I was given a different room type. My room was full of moths, so I turned on the TV to attract them to the bright light. The refrigerator did not work. The bed was very low with a mattress on top of a platform. The mattress slid around on the platform with minimal movement in the bed. When I shut off the TV to sleep the moths fluttered around the room all night. I had an early flight and was treated to an ice cold shower to get my early morning started. The front desk employees were some of the most apathetic I have encountered in hundreds of hotel stays. I have come to expect so much more from Aloft Hotels.
