Crescent Hotel

It was very close to the spires Dunedin hospital, it was quite cheap. The sheets and towels where clean..

The walls where paper thin it was cold the heating and drainage was really noisy. I could hear everything going on around me there where clearly people smoking in the rooms (although with hindsight it didn't say it was a nonsmoking establishment) really steep stairs with fire doors right at the top (which was reassuring but quite tricky to navigate. Everything looked pretty worn out and a bit rundown. Which was a shame as the owners seemed to be trying quite hard, but when prices are this low what do you really expect.

The Reception staff were awesome, specifically the night guy.

Other tenants were very noisy, which isn't the Hotel's fault.

Very centrally located, clean and quiet. I booked a single room with shared bathroom and on arrival was upgraded to a twin room with ensuite making it even better value for money. Bed was comfortable and the shower was decent.

On the second night I was kept awake by one of the other residents being arrested at 2am, although I can hardly blame that on the hotel itself. It's pretty dingy, but for £35 a night I wasn't expecting The Dorchester.

Ali at the front desk was nice!

The walls were all marked, there was mold around the window, the bathroom sink tap was wobbly, the room stunk, wouldn't stay there again
