The Queens Head

What delight! Loved our stay. Gorgeous room in such a beautiful old pub, so tastefully decorated throughout. Sam’s customer service couldn’t be beaten anywhere.

In quiet village with parking. All staff were very hospitable. The pub and restaurant were excellent and the dinner we enjoyed was better than a recent one in a Michelin star pub! Scallops with crab and purée pea starter, 3 cheese board after dinner was a tasty work of art. Great selection of wines. The French Room we stayed in was very big with comfortable sofa, chair and large selection of pod coffees plus teas. Bed was also very large and comfortable. Bathroom had a shower over the bath but worked well. Breakfast was well cooked and croissants were super fluffy.

Comfortable rooms and friendly helpful staff

The Management and staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was great and the location was in a lovely village, only 12 minutes away from Donington Park. I thought the hotel was great value for money. I will definitely be back!

Full of character and a very good welcome from all staff. Helpful both in showing us around on arrival and also staff serving both evening meal and breakfast. Coffee machine in bedroom very good.

In places a little worn- some carpet, bathroom light pull old. Needed a bit of updating

Breakfast and evening meals were excellent, plenty on your plate, quality iingredients and very tasty, well done to the chef. All staff were excellent and very friendly
