Brilliant location to visit Beamish Museum. We visited the Shepherd and Shepherdess Pub for meals and can recommend. Food portions are huge.

"3 nights in the countryside south of Newcastle"

Quiet and secluded, yet close (by car) to everything we wanted to see: Durham, Newcastle, and Beamish. Large comfortable bed. Good hot shower. Louise was helpful with dining and sightseeing recommendations.

Walking through the owner’s house and the clutter of their daily lives. It’s an old house and the decor fits the age, but somehow the furnishings felt outdated and tired. A bedside table on both sides is needed.

If you like solitude, this is the place to be, so peaceful and tranquil. The BED was huge, and so comfy, the breakfast was so fresh. Would highly recomend

Perfect apartment/cottage with everything you need for a short or long stay. Lovely cake and eggs from Louise plus milk in the fridge. Ideal location for visiting the area.
