Grove House Hotel

Did not have breakfast, or use other facilities in hotel. Easy parking and access to to our good room.

The owners were nice and friendly and the location was perfect for my day's work. Nice flowers outside. and the bed was very comfy with nice bedding. The room was clean, as was the bathroom though a little dated. It was also cool in the room, despite the very hot weather. There was also a bottle of water left for guest which was a nice touch in the heat. Great breakfast if pricey.

The room was quite small and the bathroom was in a cupboard. Which is clever use of space but for the price I was a bit surprised. There was a slight musty smell in the corridor areas. The breakfast was excellent but it was an extra £30 which was far more expensive than the usual breakfast premium I have experienced. I'd also have liked an option to have a much cheaper, much more basic breakfast. There was a scrambled eggs on toast option - but for £30 that would be ridiculous, so I had the full cooked breakfast. There was a fair bit of parking when I arrived, but I had to go out and on returning at 20.30 the car park was full, though I did manage to squeeze in round the back (not sure it was an actual spot but nobody complained!) I'm not sure if there is 1 spot per room, which would be needed given its location!

Good value for money. Don't expect anything more. A very comfortable stay. Friendly host.

Easily located on outskirts of Woodbridge Well serviced facilities. Lots of car parking space so good base for touring

No criticism but meal facilities were relatively expensive, perhaps intentionally to encourage use of the many local ones?

The room was very cold. Had to put on extra bedding and clothes in order to be warm in bed. Bottom sheet on my bed had many holes. Cobwebs on the wall by the chair. Space between the wall and sink had not been cleaned for some time. Too many notices about rules: £150 charge if you eat a takeaway in the room!
