Comfort Suites Clinton near Presbyterian College

I booked this online for 3 nights for my family which includes 6 people (4 kids). Get to the hotel after a 10 hour drive and see a note on the door that pool is closed for maintenance. Went in to make sure it was closed and sure was. Never mentioned this online so you’re telling me you don’t know u til you’re walking into the hotel after booking. Front desk guy calls his manager to explain I want my money back and they told me to call Expedia. After an hour of explaining this to Expedia, they refunded me the money and we went next door to a place that had a beautiful outdoor pool and was a nice little hotel for half the price. This hotel was so gross, nothing working, pool sign in the building said closed for the season. Parking lot was all dirt. I was so over this. Now we’re next door at Quality Inn enjoying the pool and sun and I have very happy children.

Not too much to say negative about it. Just the pool wasn’t open but that’s about it

Location

The air didn't work in the first room. The air barely worked in the second room, the bathtub was nasty, the mini fridge didn't work spoiling my sandwich meat, potato salad and cheese. I don't have cold drinks as a result of this either. If leaked water out into the floor soaking our clothes. Then we are woken the following morning at 8:45 to the sound of an impact drill from the maintenance/remodeling crew. Then we found that the microwave did not work either. They would not move us again. So we paid for two nights of bullshit.

I understand cut backs on maid service, however, it would have been nice for someone to provide clean towels, take away old towels and empty the trash cans. There is nowhere to hang wet towels. It would be nice to have hooks behind the door.
