Autumn House

I liked the room and bathroom and the facilities in the kitchen. The tea/ coffee tray was fully stocked up and we had access to toaster, microwave, and fridge in the communal kitchen area. Yogurt, toast, butter, jam and cereals available for breakfast, which is a lovely touch . I also appreciated the Gideon's Bible found in a drawer!! ☺️

The heating was on and the room although ample was small. I had to open a window to sleep. Soup was provided for hand washing but no other toiletries, so you must bring your own. The front door doorbell doesn't work and you will have to phone the owner if you haven't got the key to get in.

House was lovely,rooms were nice,clean,friendly people

We stayed for 2 nights and didn't sleep either night,the noise from outside traffic was horrendous.it almost felt as if all the windows were open it was that loud,constant road noise,but at 4am it got crazy,seems to be trucks driving past and hitting some sort of pothole right outside the house,which made the most deafening thud and rattle it woke us up instantly,that same noise then continued all the way through to 6.30 am roughly,every couple of minutes,same loud bang and rattle,impossible to sleep.was asked after first night if our stay was ok, explained the noise to the gentleman and he told us no one else had ever noticed the noise or mentioned it before,maybe we were just unlucky I'm not sure,but the noise while we were there was very loud.

The place was perfect for two people and the hosts were so friendly. The room has large windows and if it gets warm, a fan is in the cupboard. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was warm. Noise levels were very quiet and it's close to the centre of Cambridge

The cleanest room I have ever seen. A lot of thought into providing for the requirements of the customer. Examples are power points; tea; coffee; biscuits; water (lots of bottles); soaps the list goes on. Kitchen is also spotless and caters for a “good” breakfast and leaves you wanting to leave it in the same clean / spotless condition when you have finished eating.

I can’t even think of one thing that could be improved.

Good size room, very clean and comfy bed. Very generous amount of tea, coffee & biscuits. Bottles of water also in the room. Was shown kitchen facilities with cereal, bread & jam available for breakfast although we didn't use it in the end. Managed to get space on driveway but limited spaces but parking available on side road.
