It was beautiful and the staff was wonderful.

Our favorite stay in all of Europe. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Food was fabulous. Staff was great. I will certainly be back.

This place is amazing and rich with history. We had top notch service from bookings til we left the property. They helped us with our tours and the tour company they work with is outstanding. The grounds are unbeilevable with the trees and lush gardens. The rooms are a very nice size with updated bathrooms. The staff is very lovely and very helpful and welcoming. You will not regret this warm place tucked away from the world!!!

Room (not in main house) was dark, staff generally not friendly and garden restaurant food was marginal. Location was close (by car) to D-Day memorial sites. Would rather have stayed in Bayeux where we could walk to other restaurants, shops, etc. The Chateau was not up to 5-star standards per our experience.

very beautiful place! magnificent garden, amazing botanical collection. it could be a pearl of Normandy: luxurious place, architecture, cleverly thought out interior. I would especially like to mention the wonderful bistro (near the pool): local cuisine, cocktail menu, bistro staff - wonderful, well done. Also special thanks to the cleaning service and the staff who showed the room - they did everything very helpfully. thank you very much.

1. disgusting sports room: old equipment, not adequately connected, stuffy even with open windows and doors. dilapidated small gym without dumbbells and barbells... old cardio machines that don't work adequately. but the most offensive thing is not that they are old... the problem is in the attitude - there is no concept, the employees have no desire to make this room suitable for sports. for a 5 star luxury hotel - this is not at all the level; 2. the reception staff is not particularly involved in greeting... we told them in advance that we were coming from far away and it was my wife's birthday (zero); they won't help you with your suitcase, but they will let you park your car for a minute at the entrance... because there are small stones nearby (it's beautiful and convenient, but it would be desirable to have help from the hotel when checking in if you have a full size suitcase );. 3. I suppose that a client should not ask for help with a bag, it is nonsense... just like offering tea or water after a long journey is not just an adequate warm greeting, but an industry standard for hotels that see themselves as luxury. 4. we have been living in France for more than two years, we have a talent passport - this is a residence permit for highly qualified specialists (PhD, innovative entrepreneur), but our level of French is not very high yet ... we travel a lot around Europe and France, and of course we have encountered French snobbery in service and we have been warned many times that this is the norm ... I have stayed in many 5 stars in Paris and other European cities, and I can say from experience that snobbery is not an industrial standard ... however, in this hotel it was observed in a small form .. In the morning we walked through the beautiful garden - this is a magnificent creation of botanists and gardeners who very carefully and cleverly organized the garden. However, on all the lounge chairs there was a row of bird shit, on each one! ...
