Pleasant and friendly staff with an excellent breakfast. The location is also excellent.

The hotel is overpriced for the quality. It is dated inside and an old style shower which is very sensitive so either runs very hot or very cold. The carpark is very small and tight with an incredibly narrow entrance of around 40m which is marginally wider than a standard car. If there are other cars in the car park it is impossible to turn around. Ths hotel should be a budget hotel unless it is modernised

Quirky interesting building and interior.

Breakfast was excellent and the location very convenient for exploring Shaftesbury.

The lack of air conditioning in my room which was hot. I had to keep the window open and that meant it was noisy as the traffic was busy late in the evening and from 6:30am onwards. Thankfully I was staying on a Friday night as I suspect it would have been even noisier on a weekday morning.

Very centrally located, on site-parking, clean and comfy rooms and good breakfast.

Excellent location and few minutes walk from the centre of Shaftesbury. A comfortable room with sofa and a fridge with fresh milk. The breakfast had plenty of choices and was delicious. Small garden with seating and shade. The staff were polite and helpful.

The small en-suite could do with repainting and a new toilet seat. The light from the charger on the desk…..impossible to turn off. I propped my novel up in front of it once we turned the lights out. The entrance to the car park area is alongside the building and fairly narrow

It’s a little gem from the garden entrance to the individually named rooms.

David and Mary create a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant offers some of the finest gourmet food in the South West.
