We stayed overnight as a family. Nice place and friendly people. Very clean, large rooms

We stayed two nights. The breakfast area and lounge were nice, as was Elena. Breakfast was good and the service was great. The first room and the annex it was in was in poor condition and smelled strongly of damp. This was illustrated by the wallpaper trying valiantly to hang onto the wall in places. We tried to get used to the smell but it got worse when it rained overnight. The next day we requested a different room, Elena was happy to oblige, and this room was more satisfactory and had more modern bathroom fittings. Overall value for money is poor. Shop around in this area as we found out when we stayed there that we could have got much better accommodation for a similar price. Pretty area. I cannot understand the previous ratings for this inn compared to other inns that we have stayed in across the UK.

Pleasant hotel situated close to the coast and ideal for visiting the lakes and tourist attractions in the west of the Lake district. Very close to Wast Water which is a completely unspoilt and beautiful lake

We had a very lovely time Mike and Elena were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much. The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and the conservatory and outside dining space was brilliant. The food was delicious and plenty of it ( too much) We will definitely go back The locals were very friendly to strangers

Ideal hotel if you want to go walking or relax on the beach, We stayed here with two young children and the staff was lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Restaurant and food good. Residents given preference for restaurant bookings.

The rooms were well kept with comfortable bed and sofa. We had trouble with the shower but was fixed. The kettle was not working ( and was replaced) We felt that the adjoining pub kept the staff busy and there was not much attention given to hotel guests. The hotel itself is located at a very beautiful village with spectacular surroundings. With a little bit of care and effort, the management can achieve far more!
