Lion Sands River Lodge

The property is great - nicely laid out not crowded - overlooking the Sabi River - we were in. Cabin 3 sleek and modern with a pool and a great balcony overlooking the river - staff was exceptional especially Leland in the bar Xolisa ( you'll have to ask him how to pronounce that ! And our waiter David - Iour guid Michael and Tracker Lloyd were very knowledgeable and great hosts they gave us a great experience and an unforgettable trip

Up close and personal with the wildlife.

We had a major problem in our room and that ants spiders and mosquitoes were in the room. The main door is not sealed property, allowing for these insects to enter. Staff could not find a solution for this problem.

The whole trip was like a dream. We saw all of the big 5. The service was outstanding.

The staff in property was beautiful. They took every effort to make sure that our stay was exceptional.

Elliot was our server in the dining room and he took such great care of us. Pierre was our guide and his service was exceptional.

We would definitely recommend Lion Sand’s River Lodge! We came here for our honeymoon and this was the most special holiday of our lives. We stayed in the River Suite, which was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel. The service was fantastic - every member of staff (whether that be in the restaurant, behind the bar, cleaning staff, reception, etc) were incredibly kind, chatty and attentive. The food during our stay was excellent. The highlight of this trip was certainly the game drives. We had Jason (field guide) and Abraham (tracker) and both guys were incredibly knowledgeable, skilled and just very nice people - we really hope that our paths cross again some day! We have been given memories that will last a life time! Josh & Jennifer

Impeccable location. Secluded, serene and special. You’re welcomed with open arms and are readily catered to your needs. Take the time to slow down - or else you miss the hidden treasures. Game drives with experienced guides & trackers, and service staff to make the best of each moment. Thank you, team. It was a pleasure.
