La Quinta by Wyndham Glen Rose

Staff rude room's ac didn't work had to move to another room and argue with clerk as she wanted to charge us for a different room when it wasn't our fault the room reserved months prior and given to us wasn't properly functioning.

Convenient location

Room needed updating and help. Shower didn’t drain, not one towel hook, behind door or otherwise. Bathroom floor was lifting. Room needed an upgrade. Air conditioner was very loud and never got very cool.

Clean and very accessible.

This was our last stop on a road rip from Louisiana to California and back. My family of 5 (me, hubby, 15,13,9 year old kids) traveled to California for a wedding and stayed at multiple hotels along the way. We got the family deluxe suite. My youngest slept in the king bed in the main bedroom with my husband and I, and the two oldest kids slept on the sofa bad. The kids used the pool- loved it. Love that it was inside- hot tub was Great.

On the surface the hotel room was perfect. Lots of space lots of light, fairly inexpensive! But once we settled in, I noticed all of the shortcuts the cleaning crew take. When I went to plug my charger in behind the side table in the bedroom it was super gross. Food and trash back there. Ok whatever. Using the bathroom and looking at the walls, Theres food (vomit maybe?) and sticky looking gross stuff on the door. Walking around barefoot in the rooms I noticed the floors were filthy. There was debris everywhere. Places where the vacuum can’t get, like corners and under or behind thibgs- filthy. The window had a line of ants the entire time we were there- still not sure where they were going. But the worst thing was the smell at night when everyone settled down and went to sleep. It was definitely mildew. Like the carpet was wet and left to air dry so many times. Like I said- on the surface- the hotel was awesome- I could deal with everything I guess, but that mildew smell. I had a hard time sleeping because of it. I was ready to pack and head home. Breakfast was typical. The coffee was gross but it’s whatever. This was probably the 3rd yuckiest hotel we’ve stayed at out of the 10 or so these past few weeks since on our road trip. Would I stay here again? Probably not- I’d choose another city to sleep in. Especially if this is the standard for all La Quinta Hotels.

Worst place ever. Had to call for my confirmation and then had to call for my receipt. Totally disorganized. Broken workout room and AC in guest room sucks.

Bathroom door didn’t lock, fridge was frozen up/covered in ice, AC worked okay but not great

Floor not that clean. Air conditioner was a biohazard. Sheets were clean though. I would never stay at this hotel again.
