Cambria Palms Motel

This is an old-school motel but nicely updated, good price, nice staff, VERY clean, very comfortable, GREAT shower, exactly what we needed for our visit to Cambria.

No reasonably located/useful electrical outlet in bathroom. There was one attached to the light above bathroom mirror, but I couldn’t use my hair dryer with it. (One in main room at table with mirror above worked fine, though.)

Front desk gentleman was really nice. Didn’t realize this was our bed until the morning after we arrived. Take it from me. Make sure to ALWAYS check your sheets FIRST THING. I wish we had or else I would have requested another room or booked another hotel. Also, the shower has a ton of mold. Wasn’t with the 190$. Won’t be back.

Needed better cleaning. Coffee, microwave, and fridge were only amenities. Free WIFI. Some black mold in bathroom.

Everything was and went right. More than I expected. It had a little refrigerator which was a pleasant surprise. It had a Mr Coffee that allowed me to have hot water. The staff was very patient and efficient answering my questions when I arrived. I was able to check in earlier than the stated check in time - no hesitation. Parking very convenient. Loved the bathroom sink - very charming. Room was very roomy. I particularly liked their policy of not bothering with housekeeping for just a two night stand, until after final checkout.

Very, very minor. One auxiliary outlet on a nightstand light was dead, but there were enough to cover all my needs, once I took a minute to look around. That’s all I can think of.

Stayed here a few times now over the last ten years. Always been a great place to stay. Walking distance to a lot of the town's better restaurants and the Saloon and a short drive to Moonstone Beach and Hearst Castle. Can't recommend more if you're just looking for a clean place with a comfy bed to come back to when you're done with your local adventures.

The management was very friendly and helpful. The parking was right outside our door. The location is quiet and close to downtown shopping.
