The hotel is situated in an ideal spot, away from crowds, overlooking the Ammoudi harbor. The view from the balcony is stunning - a ringside seat at the caldera for the famous Santorini sunset.

Beautiful place! Perfect sunset view. Friendly staff. Perfect honeymoon place. We stayed in room 114 and it was just perfect. Lots and lots of stairs…..very close to the main points you want to see…

The property has beautiful views however there are some drawbacks. There are a LOT of steps to climb to go anywhere and there is no elevator. The breakfast is delicious but the things you order may show up or not on various days. The restaurant staff and reception desk are very polite, especially the breakfast servers . The pool tends to get dirty and they will not or do not have the staff to clean it for you other than early in the morning so you will be fishing bugs out yourself. (They did let us use the neighboring empty room’s pool upon request which was nice. We also wanted to do an excursion, however they were able to find a car to rent for us so probably a good idea to book your own. Toiletries are not replaced everyday so be prepared to buy your own or ask every day. Having said this, the views are fabulous!

Esperas was beautiful and quite quiet, despite the town being very busy. Breakfast and dinner at Ombra were fantastic. I would recommend!

The unique winding intricate 100 plus steps of this hotel is what enticed me to book this hotel . The view from all the windows are amazing. Sitting at balcony watching the sunset , all kinds of cruise ship , yatchs , catamaran in Amoudi bay is very convenient and pleasant thing to do .

Views were incredible. Right in the heart of everything and a private sunset viewing spot. Staff were excellent (except not very flexible with breakfast times and gave us a hard time about packing a breakfast five minutes early so that we could make an excursion). Staying in a “cave” for a couple of days was a great experience.
