"Aloha indeed!"

10.0

The airlines couldn't keep their schedules or keep track of our luggage, but when we staggered into the Hotel Aloja 14 hours late, and six hours before check-in time, all they said was "We have a room for you." This was followed by a delicious breakfast. If you need a comfortable, secure room in Managua at a price that seems far too low for the value received, Hotel Aloha is your best choice.

"center of Managua"

8.0

Although the hotel is a little difficult to find for a first time visitor to Managua, it is in a central location of the city and easy to get to and from as a base. The best thing about Aloha is the people. The owner speaks perfect English and gives excellent directions for travel all over Nicaragua. The staff run to meet guests every need-open car doors, carry bags, prepare complimentary breakfast, fetch hairdryer, etc. With late arrival, we did not get the room paid for the first night- it was corrected for other nights. A big downer for the trip was our camera with all our pictures was stolen at a nearby restaurant the last night of our vacation. The Aloha owner recommended the restaurant. Do not go to this restaurant as they will not serve what you order(one order was fondue with sausage and they refused to give us the sausage) and may steal your belongings.

"The 3 C's - clean, comfortable, convenient"

8.0

We stayed at hotel aloha for 5 nights before heading off to Pearl Lagoon. The accommodation was clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. Very conveniently located within walking distance to Metrocentral. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast - while not overly extensive there was enough variety included for a substantial breakfast. Service was friendly and timely.

"Overpriced"

6.0

Hotel info suggested that it was closer to Managua airport which was misleading. Lots of fast food and similar nearby and a casinoif you are interested. Our room had no natural light. Bed was comfortable, lighting fairly poor. Internet connection good. taxi to the airpport cost $20.

"Quiet and Clean"

Everyone was very nice. The rooms were clean and the continental breakfast was traditional Nicaraguan food. Quiet and clean. Would have no problem staying here on my next visit. Thanks

"Nice, quiet hotel near the center of the city."

10.0

This is actually a bed and breakfast as there are only ten rooms. It may be a little off the beaten path but I believe that may be a good thing. It is near some very good restaurants and a shopping center but maybe about 20 min. from the airport. The staff is extremely helpful and the included breakfast is good. I will definetly stay there on my next trip. The rooms are very clean and in my opinion, better than some of the bigger hotels.

"Good Value & Good Location"

10.0

Hotel has a good location and value foir central Managua. Management was very helpful. Rooms are standard but clean and air conditioner and hot water work well. Need to be careful if walking from or to hotel during the day and it is advised to never walk outside at night. Breakfast was good.

"Home away from home"

8.0

From before we got there, the staff was helpful and hospitable. They made sure that all our transportation needs were met, along with finding us a driver to sight see. We speak rudimentary Spanish, so Andrew 's English was a godsend. We managed to get our needs met even with the night staff who spoke no English. A sense of humor helps. Our room was not fancy at all, but always spotless and the a/c was sub-arctic & fantastic. The hotel was in a good location from where we needed to be. That said, it would not be a good idea to try to walk anywhere from there. With only 9 rooms, this is a small hotel who still tries to offer all the services of a larger one. Breakfast was wonderful. They were also great with our 10 year old daughter. We will stay here again.
