La Quinta by Wyndham Port Lavaca

Room was spacious and clean.

Very clean location, had an elevator, not a motel. Had a lovely breakfast and wonderful check in staff

In the early morning hours ( I realize this is probably an infrequent event) some sort of thuggish ruggish ball began in the lobby. There were dirty people yelling, screaming kids, banging and someone dumped several gallons of fluid from a tank on the lobby floor. I decided to immediately depart and was scared of the people and their stares. Turns out it was the front desk worker hosting this party during quiet hours. Bizzarre. She lied and claimed it was a breast cancer funds party. Clearly an excuse.

We had never stayed at a La Quinta before. And when i tell you it was AMAZING. No complaints about nothing from me. I fell in love with our room. When we come back to Port lavaca we are definitely staying there. This will be the only hotel we use from now own

We checked in friday night as we were getting ready for bed watching TV i see something moving on the tv console. I got up close to confirm and there was at least 4-5 roaches crawling everywhere ! I called the front desk and she gave me keys to another room as soon as i opened the door there was it was stairing at me. I went back down and told her this one had roaches in it too. She then offered to move me to the first floor where we couldnt possibly fit myself, husband and 2 children in one bed or try a third room on the 2nd floor. It was way... too late and we were all exhausted. The only other solution was check out and they would refund me. This hotel is disgusting. Dont stay here ! This is also not a new problem there is an infestation.
