A Williamsburg White House Inn

Location very good. Owners, staff and fellow guests very pleasant. Very nice to sit out in garden. Our suite had a pleasant sitting room. Our suite was spacious.

Didn't like the overt political theming, even seemed a bit MAGA. In these polarised times not restful. Bed in our suite was awful, awkward to get in and out of, though mattress good. We really wanted to enjoy breakfast (and it was very well served) but often far too sweet for our taste and choices were limited. We tried to get tea makings of an evening but provision of this was hit and miss.

Nostalgic and White House theme was different.

Room was to be accessed from the outside had to go out in the rain to get to breakfast. Breakfast was ok nothing special. Waffles one day and a quiche the next ihop style. Owners were snippy. They no they’re ready to hang it up.

Each room is uniquely decorated with items appropriate for name sake. i.e. Theodore Roosevelt room decorated as a Train car. Breakfast was exceptional. Evening Wine and Snacks time give you opportunity to meet other guests and share the days experiences.

No Complaints.

We arrived at 2:30 pm and it was raining heavily; so we waited in our vehicle until the rain let up which it did at 2:50 so we quickly headed to the entrance. When we were let in the man who said he was the owner repeatedly told us we were early as check in is at 3:00pm; then he in formed us that our car a Honda CRV was parked crooked. Not very welcoming!
