My wife Jamie and I had an amazing time here! It was sad to leave, and I wish so much that we could have stayed longer. The hotel is unique in a really good way. For example, instead of the usual mass-produced, foreign-manufactured toilet paper dispenser, our bathroom featured a beautiful, one of a kind, live-edge wooden TP holder. I absolutely loved the level of detail and personal touch. The finishes all throughout the property are creative and constantly remind you of the natural surroundings. They genuinely value artwork and even encourage guests to participate in free local art classes facilitated by the hotel. Attached is a picture of my keychain that I made. His name is “Ralph”. It feels so good to express creativity while relaxing on vacation. Usually creativity serves as a much-needed temporary escape from chaos of daily life, but starting the creative process from an already relaxed state is a game changer. I would highly recommend it! The staff at this hotel were such a pleasure to talk to. This was some of the absolute best service I have ever experienced in my whole life at any hotel. Everyone was so nice and happy. I want to especially thank Joe and Edward: I first met Joe at the concierge. He said if we need anything during our stay, please let him know. A few hours later down at the beach club Jamie and I were talking about how we wanted to make dinner reservations for that evening’s Annexation of Nicoya bicentennial celebration. I said to Jamie “we will need to try to catch Joe when we get back up the hill to the front desk”. Seriously, just a few minutes later Joe appeared at the beach club, addressed us by name, and asked if there was anything he could help us out with. Right there at the beach Joe made us a dinner reservation using his wireless phone. Edward was usually working the bar at the main pool/restaurant. Jamie was so happy with everything he made. There were some handcrafted house cocktails and some nonalcoholic fresh local fruit juice that Edward mixed up from scratch. I enjoyed making solo trips to the bar for drinks to bring back to Jamie in the room because Edward was so great to talk to. this is a eco focused hotel with a bit of everything from costa rica! location is unbeatable with rainforest meeting the beach lots of tranquility with comfort. the property sits on a hill and has both steps and shuttle to move guests around. we saw wildlife right off the property and the sorry beings are maintained to preserve those. also Keep in mind the eco focus and employees are onsite we will advise to take tours as they are very well handled, reasonablly prices and support the region as there is nothing except travel industry. we took several activities and spa that was excellent. lot of great activities that hotel organizes. Zip lines are owned by the hotel and supported excellently by Jorge. Wildlife tours and other activities are handled with a reasonable price - Joe was great helping us through all five days. All staff are friendly and were quick to respond pdf our requests for shuttle that runs 24 hrs around the property. breakfast is great. so is lunch at the beach club we ate there 3 days straight. Dinner is not so great and overpriced that's improvement needed there. hotel provides shuttle to nearby local restraunts with better options and value. all in all great stay and a place to come back to!

We absolutely loved it. It was about half-full. The service was top-notch. There were plenty of excursion options and they were handled directly with us after we arrived. The food was delicious and the beach was perfect. We loved surfing, hanging at the beach, and the pools.

We had a fabulous stay.. Joe was particularly helpful in making sure we were aware of all the amenities available!

Beautiful Place, friendly staff, clean rooms place needs small updates in rooms

Excellent location, very friendly staff, phenomenal access to endless and varied activities on, slightly off or very near the property… beachside spa like you’ve never seen, macaws everywhere, monkeys, sea turtles, ziplines and incredible sunsets. Staff is extremely friendly but sometimes very slow. Food is either a hit or way off. Several dishes soaked in soy sauce. Lamb chops excellent one night then tiny and overcooked a few nights later. The villa needed some basic upkeep… hot water m, toilet, electric, sliders… like it hasn’t been used in months. The grounds are well kept and teeming with the parrots, monkeys and other beautiful wildlife. Be absolutely sure to book a massage at Equillibrium Spa on the beach. Heaven !

Food was so good I'd return just for that. Room was missing anything other than the bed to sit on, and no desk space or place for computer--not optional these days. It's the best place I know of to see the magnificent red macaws. It has a beach but it's not really swimmable. There are two pools but they are both quite shallow--not suitable for lap swimming.

View was fantastic. Employees were attentive. Resort had lots of stairs to get to room. Room had cold AC but eating area was outdoors and very humid. Hotel offered lots of tours, activities and spa options. I would stay again.

A truly beautiful and relaxing stay in Costa Rica. Views and property are incredible. The hotel is set up very privately and very relaxing. The beach is great for swimming and the staff were outstanding.

We really loved this property! It was a journey to get to on a very long bumpy dirt road but worth it. The room was great with a small jacuzzi overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed the pool and pool bar, had a nice dinner at sunset and the beach club area was a big bonus. We were only here one night, but I would def stay here again.
