Twisted Palms Lodge & Restaurant

Vi ville ha en avslappnande semester utan "måsten" med sol, bad, bra mat och bra service. Det fick vi. Twisted Palms var helt fantastiskt. Ganska enkelt men charmigt boende, rent och snyggt. Fantastisk restaurang med bra mat och sååå bra personal Ägarna Laura och Reanato har verkligen lyckats göra Twisted Palms till något speciellt. Vi tillbringade 11 dagar där men kunde ha stannat längre. Vi kommer rekommendera detta till alla våra vänner som vill ha en lugn och skön semester och hoppas att vi själva åker tillbaka en dag.

I loved the Twisted Palms. It is off a non-touristy beach which gives the feeling of having your own private beach. The place is run by an Italian couple who are very friendly. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for somewhere quiet and affordable. The only problem is that it is a good 3 hours away from the tourist beaches and an hour from central Zanzibar. But all beaches are almost 1 to 2 hours away from the town centre anways.

Egen bungalow. 30 m fra kilometervis hvit strand og restaurant med områdets beste kjøkken. Deilig med paradisferie uten turistkaos. Skal vi til Zanzibar igjen kommer vi hit. To voksne og en 12 åring hadde det helt topp selv med en og annen regndag. Liv & Arvid, Norge

Beutiful location with a nice strip of beach, this hotel did offer good service and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the rooms felt really damp and stuffy, and we had the feeling the beds were moldy according to the smell. Our neighbours shared the same thoughts. Food was good and not expensive but nothing special, and there were plenty of hotels in the vicinty where the food was better where we ate most of the nights. Breakfast included a starter with some fruit, followed by either two pancakes or a fried egg and bread as well as tea and coffee. It was OK, but the mango-juice that was served each morning had a ton of ginger in it wasn't so good.

Veldig hyggelig sted i utkanten av Arusha. Litt for langt unna sentrum til å gå, men taxi er lett å få tak i og billig. Stedet er ganske rolig og inngjerdet og avskjermet fra omgivelsene. Restauranten har svært god mat og er nokså rimelig. Trådløst internett fungerer fint i lounge/restaurant og sannsynligvis på noen av rommene. Ved lengre opphold må man si fra om man ønsker rommet rengjort eller nye håndklær. De fleste av de ansatte er veldig hyggelige.

petit hôtel sur la côte est de Zanzibar, très calme, les pieds dans l'eau (chambres sur plage); Les hôtes (Paula et Renato) d'origine italienne se plient en 4 pour vous satisfaire. confort très simple (pas de clim), mais chambres spacieuses.. Nous étions avec nos 3 enfants (de 11 à 19 ans) et c'est le type d'établissement authentique que nous recherchions..séjour fin février, temps superbe, plage quasiment déserte. Le paysage devant le restaurant les pieds dans l'eau est magnifique. L'hôtel propose des excursions à des prix très corrects avec l'avantage d'être en tout petit groupe. Les menus au restaurant sont simples mais sont modifiés tous les jours.

super friendly staff, information about surroundings and activities, good restaurant, owners are interested in collaboration with locals, if you dont need an infinity pool you are on the right place :)

Un havre de Paix. Très jolie plage.Une équipe plus que sympathique.

Vistelsen på Twisted Palms var det inget fel på, men alldeles för lugnt och långt från liv för vår smak. Vi bodde i en beach bungalow ungefär 50 meter från vattenbrynet & 30 meter från restaurangen där en klassisk "semesterfrukost" (ägg, toast eller annat vitt bröd, frukt, juice kaffe/te) serverades på morgonen. Vi fick god hjälp med diverse taxiresor och tips om hotell när vi skulle resa vidare på Zanibar.
