It was clean comfortable, near the town & train station.the host was friendly & nothing to much trouble the bed was very comfortable & shower was good too.we really enjoyed our 4days here

Cool place

It had been on my bucket list to stay in a windmill so I carefully chose the right one very carefully. The main things I wanted were to stay in the actual mindmill (not in a cottage on the grounds) and I wanted to stay in a windmill with sails. I thought the staff were very nice and very accommodating when I needed to change dates. The room was nice and it was located in the main mill building so that ticked that box for me.

The only thing I was disappointed in was the fact that it didn't have sails anymore (unlike the picture on the booking.com website). I understand why the owners had to take them down but I did choose this particular windmill (even though it was a 5 hour drive from our home) because it looked on the picture as though it had sails. In fact when I googled booking.com today the picture still has sails so I think that element is misleading.

Ideal location, quirky, lovely views, had everything we needed for our 2 night break.

Very impersonal. No face to face contact with the host, reception closed, no reply from the mobile number when i called asking for information regarding opening the gates..

The location was superb, a beautiful place to stay, we have 2 rooms, my daughter lucked out with the windmill.

The lounge area of the windmill had a musty smell
