Easy to find. Outstanding host (Terry) lovely gentleman. Easy parking. OUTSTANDING BREAKFAST!!! Comfortable common room. Lots of extras.

Outdoors needs tidying.

Not much, Terry was kind of friendly.

Everything was outdated and could use some attention. I was sick after eating the breakfast, for 3 days. It wasn't good. We left early to avoid another breakfast. A dead bird right by the garbage 3 days in a row. scoop it up.

Location

On a slight bend in the road but easy to find during the day, well presented room in a warm and friendly place. being a cold wet January, the place was not overflowing but it is close to Strangford Lough with plenty to do within easy driving distance. Warm bedroom, nicely appointed, and quiet despite the wind outside. Great personalised and hard-served breakfast. I liked the place.

Bit of mould in the bathroom, think the fan just needs clearing. Nothing too excessive though and the shower itself was hot - but the handles to turn the water on and off are a bit slippy. Bed seemed slightly like the mattress was on the thin side but it was actually perfectly fine.

Terry and Avril were very welcoming and accommodating hosts. They welcomed me for a late check-in and I had an excellent breakfast the following morning (a delicious fruit salad and fry). They also catered for my gluten-free request. Terry also pointed me in the right direction for a little walk - down to the Nendrum Ecclesiastical site - which was such a beautiful place for a walk, with great views. If you visit, you must pop down there - it's about 4 miles further along the lough. The room was clean, cosy, the bed very comfortable and it had a good shower too. I chose here rather than going into Belfast as I was visiting relatives on the eastern side of Belfast. It was just a 20 minute drive to the Upper Newtownards Road. A beautiful quiet location. Best if you have a car. I would definitely recommend.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like!

We did not have time for breakfast on the first morning as we were heading to the open but avril offered us fruit to take away and on second morning we missed breakfast she offered us tea coffee and scones after 11 am
