The Teesdale Hotel

It was a good hotel. staff were friendly upon checking in with a key to the front door given so you could stay out late, excellent for late night walkers. The room was nice in appearance and the bed very comfortable with a working TV and excellent lighting in all rooms making it feel homely with a large wardrobe. Even had a little kettle and free coffee, tea and biscuits.

The room was clean but there was dust and cobwebs around the corners of the room in the bathroom and bedroom in easy to reach places. The window was also a struggle to close and felt like the latch could come off with enough effort.

Good dinner in the restaurant and a very nice breakfast. The ale was good as well.

The single room was decent but the bed was a bit noisy.

What a lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable room and very friendly and helpful staff. The food was absolutely first class both nights I was there. Great location for walks in the area and plenty from the hotel front door. Definitely recommend and I will return

Nice old traditional hotel with a superb breakfast. Central location in Middleton, good access to the Fall.

Lovely old building , plenty of parking . Really liked the decor downstairs in the bar and restaurant area, modern but equally traditional. The breakfast was stunning with local produce and fantastic coffee , possibly the best I've had and certainly better than the hotel I'd stayed at for the previous two nights at twice the rate. The staff were great and the lady on duty at breakfast was exceptional .

So I booked late due to a change of plans, subsequently I only had the small single option. The room is indeed small and I found the bed too soft for me personally. Not a show stopper and I wouldn't hesitate to go back but would choose a different room with more notice.
