"Strangest place I've ever stayed"

6.0

I think this was the strangest place I've ever stayed. It has a lot of promise - tucked quietly away in a remote corner of a small town off the beaten path. But I could hardly get anyone to check me in and I had to come stand by the front desk to get ANY wi-fi at all. The lady at the desk agreed that the wi-fi could be "a little dodgy" ... that's an understatement! In 2015 there is no excuse to not have solid wi-fi connectivity throughout a small hotel area like this one. After the parties ended late that evening, we at least got to enjoy breakfast entertainment while the partiers emerged, one by one, each proclaiming "never again" or responding to the question "are you alive?" with a grim "only just" ...

"Nice hotel for short overnight stop"

6.0

First impressions were excellent, but my room was a bit of a disappointment , as soon as i opened the door, there was a sting smell of mould and damp. The bedding and furnishings were very clean, the decor was to a high standard, but the en suite had a fair degree of black mould in the grouting on some tiles, but upon pulling the roller blind down, found that to be covered in thick black mould. I found it so out of keeping with the rest of what i had experienced. Everything else was top class, and i felt
