Hotel du Vin & Bistro Poole

Our first visit to Hotel du Vin Poole and we really enjoyed our stay. Great room, lovely staff and excellent location.

Heating in my room did not work. Provided with a small heater. Not enough to heat the room. Staff communication poor.

We stayed here for the 1st time and were looked after so well. We have a small dog so were a little nervous but we need not have worried. There was a lovely table set right next to the restaurant area for us so we didn’t feel isolated. The breakfast was fab and we used the restaurant again for our evening meal which was again fab. Will look to stay again when back in the area

Staff were amazing and the hotel is beautiful. We can’t wait to go back.

Excellent tasting menu with wines at very reasonable price

Lovely building, quirky, really nice room. However, the bar and restaurant staff are very bad. They run the bar especially for themselves, not for their customers. Waited 15 mins for thec3 staff behind the bar to serve us at our table. Gave up, asked for help from reception, who got it sorted. All the customers in the bar had to go to the bar to get a drink! Such a shame as its a nice bar. To make matters worse had to send chicken fillets back as they were still pink and uncooked in the middle. Chef incinerated them in the microwave and had them delivered back to us. I would normally expect them to be cooked afresh. This place needs better management

Hap hazard check-in, wacky description of where the rooms were, choice of 1 bottled beer and 1 bottled cider at the bar, no staff serving anyone half the time we were there.

Staff and service were very good. Room spotless but low ceiling, otherwise a perfect short stay

Great hotel in great location with lots of choice for restaurants nearby. Food at the hotel really good but if booking inclusive dinner quite a few of the choices had supplements to be paid. Breakfast excellent.. all hot food cooked to order. Lovely outside space for eating and drinking al fresco. Very small car park at the hotel but a big pay and display car park at the back of the hotel. Would recommend.
