Gainsboro Guest House

We only stayed a couple of nights at the Gainsboro but we had a lovely time. Richard and Gaynor are extremely friendly, the room was lovely and extremely clean. It was very close to the town centre. We would definitely go back there and would not hesitate to recommend it.

GuestHouse oli juuri sellainen kuin olimme lukeneetkin. Halusimme edullista kotoisaa rauhallista perusmajoitusta läheltä TorreAbbeytä ja kohtuuläheltä Torquayn keskustaa ja rantaa. Huone oli ahdas mutta pärjäsimme. Sängyt olivat hyviä nukkua,eikä melua ollut mistään. Aamiaiselle olisimme kaivanneet juustoja,tuoreita kasviksia yms.

We had a superb stay at the Gainsboro Guest House, close enough to the town and beach but far enough out and well situated to not be disturbed by revellers. A great welcome and very accommodating, lovely tidy, clean rooms etc etc. Lovely breakfast, can't ask for more at the price! Very happy with our stay.

Very welcoming, given the map of Torquay upon arrival. We arrived much later than expected due to M5 accident which shut all of the lanes but it is not a problem. We stayed in room No1 which is at the ground floor, good sized room with ensuite and got everything we needed for the weekend! Great breakfast and good selection too. Location is great, just about 5 minutes of walk to the sea front passing the train station and about 20 minutes to Cockington Village. Will come back again.

Were welcomed with tea & cakes which were most welcome.The hosts Sue & Stuart could not do enough & were informative about the area.The rooms were clean & comfortable.Breakfast was magnificent,freshly cooked with excellent ingredients. Highly recommend
