"Great stay in a traditional, homely, characterful Guest House."

Excellent Guest House with real character, gorgeous en-suite room with heritage furniture. Very homely and lovely owners. Great breakfast choices. 20 minute walk to city centre and bus stops within 2 minutes walk. Lovely location.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Gem in Edinburgh! We absolutely loved our stay at Glenalmond House! From the moment we arrived, Jimmy and Fiona made us feel completely at home — they’re such warm, friendly hosts who genuinely care about their guests. Jimmy’s breakfasts are absolutely amazing — his omelets in particular are not to be missed! Every morning was a treat, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Our room was spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable — one of the best sleeps we’ve had on our trip. The location couldn’t be better either: just a short, quick Uber ride to the Royal Mile and all the main sights, yet tucked away in a peaceful, charming neighbourhood. There are also some great local pubs nearby — we especially enjoyed The Old Bell Inn, which had fantastic food and a cozy atmosphere. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Glenalmond House to anyone visiting Edinburgh. A perfect blend of comfort, location, and genuine Scottish hospitality!
