"Ideal base for exploring East Devon"

Lovely, characterful hotel in a peaceful location. Ideal for visiting Sidmouth folk festival (then being able to get away from the crowds). Reception staff were able to put us in rooms that were suitable for our accessibility needs (e.g., walk-in shower) and were very helpful. Breakfasts in the hotel were excellent, and we had a really good lunch in the nearby Volunteer Inn too.
