Eype's Mouth Country Hotel

Great location very quiet and peaceful.Food good and staff very accommodating Yet to try Helen's suggestion of marmite with beans on toast

The hotel delivered on so many levels. Comfortable clean room. Sea view promised and delivered. Loved the personal touches from the welcome note to the cake samples made by the chef. Welcomed even though we arrived an hour early than planned. The staff although young were very professional and worked cohesively and delivered exceptional service. Nothing was too much trouble. The evening meals tried in both the bar restaurant and the main dining room delivered on taste and presentation. Portions were more than ample. We tried seafood linguine and the beer battered fish and chips from the bar restaurant and homemaid tomato soup, duck in plum sauce and sea bass. ALL were excellent. The main restaurant asks for reservation by 4pm and your choices which goes some way in part to minimising food wastage which is a great idea. Breakfast offered hot and cold and I had the most amazing croissant freshly baked, I would go as far to say best one I have had. Hats off to the young chefs, housekeeping, waiting staff..... excellent job well done. Would definitely return.

Superb location and friendly staff

I got a great deal through Booking.com for 2 rooms for 1 night stay. The hotel is lovely and in a beautiful location. The extra touches like cake in the room and plenty of complimentary tea, coffe and water really made a difference. We had our evening meal in the restaurant which was delicious. The staff were exceptionally friendly and very accommodating getting breakfast out quickly as we had a early start attending a craft course. Highly recommended.

The road to the hotel was very narrow with several blind bends, bit scary!

The views were great, nice little treat to welcome to the room, very cosy and the food was fantastic and staff were very friendly, and welcoming and accommodating.
