Hotel very difficult to find. Reception small but clean and staff helpful. Carpets in corridors jaded and overall decor in corridors poor. Bathroom needed updating, Toilet very noisy and poor at flushing. Walls were plasterboard and filled holes apparent. In all was more a two star backpackers hotel and how it got an 8.4 rating is beyond me.

I had an upgrade in a refurbished studio on the 3rd floor and I was very grateful for it. It was very spacious with a small balcony on to the rue de la Liberté and I will book it again next time in Dijon. However, a relative of mine at the same hotel ended up with an old, small and smelly studio on the 4th floor with broken furniture and old mattresses in the corridor. So, I will very much recommend City Loft for their refurbished studios only. The location is great, the staff is friendly. The studio has a fridge and a kettle and you can make yourself a cup of tea. What not to like?
