Hotel Residence City Loft

The staff were pleasant and did anything requested. Our room was very large with good sized windows and good light. On the downside, the airconditioning was on a timer and only ran for 5 minutes maximum, the room was very warm at night, and the breakfast selection was poor.

We were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel in an amazingly central location. It was walking distance to all the tourist destinations, and we found many stores and restaurants nearby. We were pleased by the location, but the hotel itself was a little out-dated. The rooms were comfy and we were allowed an early check-in, but we found our room to have a strange odor and the view from our window was a rooftop with empty bottles of beer and liquor (which made us a little uneasy, since said rooftop was connected to our building). All in all, I would definitely stay here again for the location and price are unbeatable.

Great location, very easy to get to by foot from the train station & right in the historic center. I appreciated having the mini-kitchen; it did take me a few minutes to figure out the stove. Very clean room, with a nice view of the lighted church of Notre Dame. Friendly staff.

Our intention was to spend just 1 night but missed our train. City Loft was very accomodating in renting us another room for our additional night that was already cleaned and larger than our first room. The town is a lovely historic town that we did not plan on visiting, but glad we did.

An uncomfortable stay in a tired run down hotel. I would suggest looking elsewhere for your accomodation. Despite central location it is in a pedestrian precinct & cannot be reached by car. The room was shabby, bathroom floor tiles severely cracked in many places & severe grouting removal from aged ware. The kitchen sink was cracked & crack oozing dirt & mould, most unhygienic in food preparation area. The foot covering at the end of the bed was filthy & appeared to have human stains on it. The room felt dirty & carpets needed a good vacuum at the edges. We felt uncomfortable in a grubby room so did not enjoy our stay.

Staff were friendly and helpful, but if the hotel is to maintain its 3 star rating it needs to be updated, comfort and decor reflect more of a 2 star hotel, for example, the bath towels were thin and grey and the breakfast was less than average.
