"Basic Hotel in a convenient location"

8.0

1 night solo trip to Porto-Vecchio so I chose this hotel for the price / value. Hotel is priced well for the location - less than 5 minute walk to the Port and to Old Town. Room is clean with no frills. Air Conditioner struggled to keep the room cool during the hottest part of the day. Very little English spoken by hotel staff.

"Old tired hotel"

2.0

I'll start on a positive note. The staff were sweet. The beds quite large and comfortable. Now this hotel is old and tired. The rooms are quite small but so are many hotels in Europe however the doors and walls are dirty. The rooms with a balcony are noisy. The shuttered doors to the balcony are cracked and they need a good paint. There are things peeling off the walls which look aweful. The bathrooms tiles have mould in the grout. There is no shower curtain and the shower is over a bath so water goes all over the bathroom. The toilet needs three flushes to work properly. The breakfast is simple with small croissants and bread roll and yoghurt. Dreadful coffee and very sweet fruit juice. It's a no star budget hotel. There is a walk ( approx 350 steps) up a very steep hill to the old port town so the location is quite good.

"Ok, nothing special"

4.0

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this place for a few nights. It was ok. The room was pretty small but ok and we had a balcony, although it was facing the road. The breakfast was bad and consisted of the worst coffee I have ever tasted and some bread.

"Unfriendly & unhelpful"

2.0

This place is expensive and you get no value for it. First thing: they have no special rate for single travelers. Next I had to catch a bus at 8am the next morning, Right at the moment when they start serving breakfast. I was told very clearly there was nothing they could or would about it: not even ten minutes of flexibility. So I payed for two breafasts and actually received none. In the morning I spend the last hour without electricity: no-one could give us power, the owner had to come to hotel for that. In one word a terrible experience!
