Hotel Quartier Latin

Bien placé, chambre un peu rustique.

Chambre située sur l'arrière de l'hôtel, au calme. Emplacement très bien, proche de la station de métro Berri-UQAM donnant accès à 3 lignes de métro. Pas de petit déjeuner, mais le distributeur de boissons fraîches et chaudes a été apprécié.

Chambre un peu vétuste, tout comme l'hôtel en général.

We didn't expect much because of the other reviews, and because of the general shabbiness of the carpet and furniture, but the entire experience was surprisingly...pretty good! The location is a busy, tourist oriented street with lots of interesting things, but also loud clubs. The room itself was clean enough, even if the carpet in the hallways looked dirty. The bed was comfortable. Because of the location of our room away from the street- it was quiet. Our room had central AC (that we could not control) that worked well, despite sweltering heat outside and there was plenty of hot water in the shower and great water pressure. Even the refrigerator worked well and the coffee in the lobby was pretty good. We had low expectations, and were pleasantly surprised!

The general appearance is shabby. The carpet is worn to nothing, in fact my partner got a splinter from walking barefoot on the carpet. All the furniture is shabby. The blankets had cigarette burn holes. It would be nice for a couple to get 4 pillows instead of 2. My pillow was worn to nothing and my partner is used to sleeping elevated. When we asked for an extra pillow, they looked, but could not find any. But it was nice that they looked. The room was very small.
