"Great location in Mexican hotel for walking downtn"

10.0

Walked to town and other places daily. Pleasant place. Rooster woke us up each morning. Mexican families stayed there. Beautiful pool with lovely tile. Great breakfasts daily with papaya and other melons. Grocery store nearby. Great experience! Wonderful, hospitable people.

"A very nice hotel considering the price"

8.0

We ended up staying there for two weeks. Loved the staff there. Very friendly. The room wasn't fancy but had everything we needed. The place really surprised us considering how much we were paying for.

"Good location"

8.0

Great value in a great location, if you aré looking for a location near to the airport or the west side of merida. the hotel is like an old nice house and my room was kind of small, But even so it was calm and quiet. They run out of hot water the first day. The room didnt have towels or hand soap when i arrive.

"Quaint Hotel with Old World Charm"

6.0

We planned to stay 3 nights but left early because the bed was too hard and the location of the hotel on a busy street made it difficult to sleep. The Hotel needs cleaning, painting, and upgrades.

"Nice hotel for the price"

8.0

I like Casa De Las Columnas and I have stayed there before. It's between Santa Ana and the Centennial Park so it's a little off the beaten path. This time I got a room which smelled of mold. I asked for a new room and I was given one that was better. The rooms are large and many are original with very high ceilings. The staff are friendly and there is a free breakfast. Wifi doesn't reach all of the rooms.

Make sure to get off at St 59. the exit is the street next of the zoo, if you mist the street is so easy to get lost.

"Our stay at Casa De Las Columnas"

8.0

This is a beautiful, historic hotel. We enjoyed the quaint and comfortable courtyard. The continental breakfast was enjoyable. We especially enjoyed drinking fresh squeezed orange juice that the manager prepared every morning. Jorge, the manager was extremely helpful with meeting our needs.

"Good hotel close to airport and historic plaza"

8.0

Wanted to stay closer to airport on our last night, to catch an early departure. This hotel is in a nice section of the city, and is still only 9 blocks to the historic plaza ( about a 20-25 min pleasant walk). Is next door to big grocery store to get those last minute souvenirs too. Hotel is antique and quiet, big rooms with good air conditioning. Small pool in a nice courtyard.Would stay here again.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Unfortunately, just a quick overnight stay due to early morning flight BUT would love to have stayed longer to explore the hotel. Room was a large with high ceilings, fan, air conditioner plus good-size bathroom with nice shower. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Swimming pool in middle of open courtyard looked very inviting. Will definitely return.
