"Solo traveller"

10.0

I loved everything about my stay at Mortons Manor from the moment I drove into their car park. The team there were friendly, helpful and welcoming. I booked a twin room as a solo traveller and the room was very clean, well set out and felt cosy with a nice view. The bed was comfortable and the toiletries provided in the bathroom nice to use. I also enjoyed the menu options available for breakfast. The history of Mortons manor is described in the room folder and I had a walk around the hotel to view the historical features and items described in it. Mortons Manor is also in a good location with a short walk to shop, pubs and Corfe Castle.

My stay here was great

"Magical - like a dream...."

10.0

Ultra friendly, nice and welcoming.....immaculate historical Hotel. Only stayed one night, staff went out of they way, was able to check in early: Superb bedroom with 4 poster bed...... Log fire in wood panelled lounge ....., tea and cake served. Special family room - superb view of Thomas Hardy hills through large leaded windows. Easy parking, easy walk into village - vintage Steam Train Station service, only a few minutes walk away. Superb food..... Fantatsic baby high chair, made my son feel like a prince Ian Flemming stayed at the Hotel - past owner were called Bond.... Viewing of the film "Far from the madding crowd" with Julie Christie recommended I did not wantto leave. Magical Hotel - for romantic "thinkng people"..... Owner deserves a medal, for creating, saving, and renovating such a wonderful Hotel

On Sunday, did not like the weather was raining - but, we were snug in a 4 poster bed, then came down to a wonderful breakfast in family room, with leaded window framing views to ornate garden, and romantic rolling hill views partially covered by mist

"Disappointing"

6.0

The location was good and the character and atmosphere in the hotel was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was very good if somewhat haute cuisine and not quite what I was expecting.

I had asked when booking if there were blue badge facilities near the hotel and was told yes - and rooms available on the ground floor. What I didn’t expect were rooms across the gravel courtyard which wasn’t easy to walk on for me let alone my husband in an annex away from the main building and therefore unable to enjoy the hotel as expected. Thank goodness I didn’t have to push a wheelchair over the gravel back to our room . The worst part for us was the automatic lighting in the bathroom where as our son has just explained to us the timer was not set correctly for anyone let alone disabled people as I had to follow my husband each time during the night in order to wave my arms around to get the lights on again. I did point this out the next day but nothing was done. I discussed it again as we were checking out early morning on the Sunday and was told that I wouldnt be able to speak to anyone about it until the Wednesday of following week.

"Exceptional stay in Corfe"

9.0

Fantastic service from the staff - a real pleasure to deal with and generally speak to. Great food from the restaurant with a wonderfully decorated room in keeping with the character of the house. Corfe Castle is a small village but even so, its proximity to everything is well-placed.

One of the doors in the lobby needs looking at. It can on occasion close quickly and can be quite loud. This did not by any means ruin our stay though.
